in an extremely short description BEAM robotics try to create robots made from extremely simple circuits with absolutely no programming. All behavioral routines are hardwired and geared towards simplicity and efficiency. Generally speaking almost all of these robots use solar power as a source of energy as this school of robotics is geared towards it. There are however exceptions and a couple robot types that are inducted as honorary BEAM robots.
